first night in the kitchen?

every half hour while zach is live, the kitchen opens. you get a bowl, you serve the people around you, and the soups you keep serving become yours. you've got a little pet to feed, too. one command gets you in, and this page has the rest.

the loop

  1. get a bowl

    type !soup in chat and the kitchen hands you a random soup. it might be tomato, it might be gravel. either way it's yours, and it's what you're serving until you swap to something else. not at the stream right now? sign in at the tables and your first bowl's on the house.

  2. serve people

    !soup @name gives someone a bowl, and you both earn xp for it. don't know anyone yet? !soup random finds someone who hasn't eaten, and it pays a little extra. the kitchen opens every 30 minutes, so the rhythm is: be around when it opens, serve two people, get served by two, and come back for the next one.

  3. feed your soupling

    !adopt gives you a little pet of your own. once a window, !feed <soup> gives it something from your collection, and it remembers the taste. at 12 feeds it grows into something new, and at 54 it grows again. what it becomes depends on what you've been feeding it.

  4. lord it

    xp lands on whatever soup you're serving. reach 300 on one and you're its lord: the effect doubles, your name goes on it in chat, and it feeds your soupling twice. people will start asking you for it.

  5. collect

    order a bowl with channel points to pull something new, or !craft <tier> with the broth your duplicates turn into. there are 110 soups to find, and about 2% of pulls come up shiny. shinies count separately, so really it's 220.

the goal

lord your soups, collect all 110, and see what your soupling turns into.

that's the whole game. everything else is seasoning.

good to know

sometimes a serve spills, and sometimes jeff eats one. it happens to everyone. shinies are safe from both, which is half the reason to want one.

one bowl in 500 has an egg in it, and it goes to whoever got served. if you get one, feed it and see what hatches.

between windows the kitchen is closed. type !soup anyway and it'll tell you when it opens again.
