the soup kitchen

souplings

you've got a pet now. feed it soup, and what you feed it decides what it becomes.

the pet runs alongside the soup game rather than through it. feeds come from the window clock, not from xp, so you can lord everything and never adopt, or adopt and never lord. both are fine.

the pet

adopt one

!adopt and pick a starter: soupling, noodle, or crumb. you only do this once. the starter is just a look. it changes which names your pet can grow into, not what it can do.

your pet shows up as one word and one picture next to your name when you serve. everything else about serving stays the same.

feeding

!feed <soup> once per kitchen window, with any soup you own. the soup isn't used up. your pet just gets a taste of it.

the first 12 feeds are free. from feed 13 on, a feed costs 10 broth. feeds run on the window clock, not on xp, so the pet is on its own track. you can lord everything and never adopt, or adopt and never lord.

the one link between the two: a soup you've lorded feeds your pet twice.

per window
one feed
feeds 1 to 12
free
feed 13 onward
10 broth each
a lorded soup
counts as two feeds
its favourite soup
counts double

what it becomes

at 12 feeds it grows into something new, based on what it's eaten the most. at 54 feeds it grows again, based on what it's eaten the most and how much of its diet that was. a pet that only ate one thing and a pet that ate a bit of everything end up in very different places.

there are 72 forms across the three starters, and nobody's told the recipes. !pet shows what your pet has eaten as plain counts, and that's your hint. working it out is the fun part.

each evolution pays out: 100 broth for the first and 300 for the second. if it's a tie, whatever you fed it last wins.

final form. what it ate most, and how pure the diet was
a pure diet

a mixed diet

there are three of these, and they're their own thing

the favourite

your pet always wants one soup in particular, and it's always one you don't own. feeding it that soup counts double. it picks a new favourite every time it evolves, to match what it's been eating.

it's on your !pet card like a little wanted poster, so anyone can help by serving you that soup or by answering your !ask.

how long it takes

it's one feed a window, so it's about being around, not about grinding. two hours a night gets you the first form in about three nights and the final form in about two weeks. a lorded soup cuts that in half.

2 hours a night
first form in 3 nights, final form in about 14
the full stream
first form in 2 nights, final form in 7
with a lorded soup
final form in about 7 nights either way

starting over

!reroll costs 500 broth, wipes your pet, and hands you a fresh starter. everything it ate goes with it, so make sure you mean it.

attributes

every soup on the menu has one. you'll see it on the soup's page, and you can filter the menu by it. it doesn't change what the soup does when you serve it. it's what your soupling tastes when it eats it.

ask and feed

asking

other people can feed your pet, but only when you ask them to. !ask ramen posts a request for a soup you don't own. someone who has ramen types !feed you, and your pet eats it as if you'd fed it yourself.

the ask is the permission. nobody can feed your pet something you didn't ask for, so nobody can mess with your diet.

!ask <soup>
ask for a soup you don't own. one open request at a time
!ask random
the bot picks one for you
!feed @user
fill their request with a soup you own
!feed random
fill whoever's request is open
!asks
every open request right now

filling

filling someone's request pays you 10 broth and costs you nothing: not your feed, not your broth, not the soup.

it's one fill per person per stream, so the collector with everything can't answer every request. requests close when the window does.

eggs and jefflings

the egg

one serve in 500 leaves an egg in the bowl, and it goes to the person who got served. there's no stage requirement and no command. the only way to get one is to be served.

it hatches on your next !feed, whatever you feed. hatching pays 100 broth and puts you on jeff's side.

you can hold one egg at a time and have one jeffling ever. if you already have one, the next egg goes to the next person served.

the jeffling

jeff's kid. it lives next to your soupling with its own feed count and its own spot in your serve line. one !feed and they both eat.

it evolves once, at 12 feeds, into one of six things depending on what it ate.

it also doubles what jeff's side gets: +6 broth a soup, jeff never touches yours, and !taunt drops his mood by 10 instead of 5. if you go back to the kitchen, the jeffling stays with jeff. it's the rarest thing in the game, and that's what leaving costs.

how sides work

jeff's mood

the kitchen gets paid while his mood is over 60, and jeff's side while it's under 40. !jeff shows the number, how many kids he has in chat, and who's on which side.
